Hey Survivors

We have just 48 hrs left in our campaign! It seems like it's been forever and no time at all!

Before I go into to the updates,  I would like to say what a great pleasure it was to meet some of our wonderful  backers and fans on the twitch channel last night!  Your opinions and ideas have been a great inspiration to the series on whole (Several of our add on tiers were suggested by Backers themselves) and it is wonderful to be growing this series with a community that is as passionate about this project as we are! 

To the Update...

48 hours to go people!  In case you have missed it, we passed our first stretch goal! For Stretch goal #2 we are trying to add cross platform multiplayer to the game! Can we do it?! It's the last 48 hours! anything could happen!

We have added lots to our add on section since the Kickstarter started, so just in case you missed them this is what is still available in the add on sections:

• Playable Survivor (w/ optional VO) 
• Become an NPC : Put yourself in the game! Become one of the myriad of infected, turned or a corpse!
• Signed Outbreak Collection PS4
• Signed Gold and Silver OBC #413 Trading Cards (super limited stock left)
• Scientist Photo: Be one of the creators of the Outbreak. Have your picture added to a group of scientists taking credit for the Outbreak! (Also very limited!) 
• Name on Gravestone: Be remembered! Have a name of your choice placed on the grave markers to honor the dead left around the city.
• Name on Opera House Plaque: Become a posh donor of the Cypress Ridge Opera house and get your name put on a shiny plaque!
•  7 game digital series: This one is pretty self explanatory; all 7 games currently out in digital format.
• Dinner w/ Devs: Come hang out with us! Get dinner at a con and discuss all things Outbreak!
• Design a Monster or Scenario Boss Monster: Be the boss, work with us to create a big bad for one of the levels!

Every cent spent here goes back into game development, so be sure to grab your add ons while you can!

Hey Survivors,

WE HAVE REACHED OUR FIRST STRECTH GOAL!!!!!! CELEBRATE!!!!

You will now never have to go it alone down the dark alleyways of Cypress Ridge! You will always have your stalwart AI companions at your side! We are very excited to be bringing this to you, as it will definitely make the gameplay more fun!

Now that we have reached stretch goal one, you know what this means... It's time for stretch goal two!

If we can make it to 90K,  we will be able to give you cross platform online multiplayer! We will try to make it possible to play with anyone on any console or PC in the world (provided they are available and wish to play). 

A few more notes...

 Our first twitch stream of the week is tonight at 7 EST. Come join both Evan and I on our Twitch Channel as we play some vintage video games and answer questions about the Outbreak. We hope you pop by!

New Add-On!

An intrepid member of the discord suggested our newest add-on,  Responsible for the Virus Group Picture. For $75, your face will be drawn in a group photo of the Arzt Memorial Hospital researchers who may or may not be responsible for the Outbreak (You'll have to talk to their lawyers). These are already flying off the proverbial shelf, we have just five left! If you want one, act quickly!

We have only 3 days remaining, survivors, so if you are still on the fence about backing us or are thinking of adding on an add on, act sooner rather than later. The Outbreak waits for nobody!

Hey Survivors!

4 days left!  We are $788 dollars away from our first stretch goal! We really want to give you AI bots! For those of you not in the loop, AI survivor bots mean even if you decide to play alone, you will have a team to back you up! If you know anyone who has been on the fence, there has never been a better time to convince them to back!  If you are new to Outbreak, this might be a great time to add on the 7 game digital pack and catch up on the series.

The Chef is named! Our wonderful, talented and incredibly good-looking discord both gave us names and weighed in on our favorites!

We will be taking names for our next community named character from today until Friday. Can you name the Student?! To submit names, please join our discord and reply in #question to the question: Can you name the student? If discord does not agree with you for whatever reason, you can also comment on the update, and I will check here before I make the final poll.

As before, serious name submissions only. Also, please do not submit any names that already belong a highly recognizable character. I do google these and prefer not to be embroiled in legal battles. 

Streaming schedule!

Just like we did at the start of the campaign, we will be streaming every evening EST starting from tomorrow via our twitch channel! We will also be streaming during the final countdown on Friday morning! Join Evan as we play retro survival horror, and ask question about Shades of Horror.

Hey Survivors!

This update was supposed was supposed to go out yesterday, but I doesn't look like it did. Sorry about that!

Now that we are in the final 10 days of the Kickstarter, we are going to begin setting up the polls to name our erstwhile in-game survivors. Before we set up the official polls, we would like to collect names from the community and the names for the polls will be selected from there.

In order to do this, you will have to join our discord, and go over to the question section of the discord to suggest names for our first namable character: The chef!

Please note: We will only consider serious suggestions, I know that suggesting names like Knifey McKniferson (name idea from Evan) feels like a slam dunk, but we need names that can be actually used so please put your thinking caps on! Looking forward to what you all come up with.

For those of you who would like to suggest a name, but can’t or don’t feel comfortable using discord. Please comment on this update, I will be sure to check the comments before creating the poll.

Character Focus: The Chef

He has no idea what happened, or why he woke up several days into the outbreak stuck in his upside-down food truck with one of his own knives staring him straight in the nose. The only thing he knows is that you can’t cook for zombies, (they don’t even go for a nice tartare, really, so gauche!) so he had no reason to stick around. Luckily, knives can be used for more than just cooking.

Games we are watching:

You can’t get more retro than the 16th century! The game we wish to bring to your attention today is Carta Marina by Furoshiki Lab. The developers were inspired by an actual 16th century map depicting sea monsters in the oceans around Scandinavia. A completed version of the map, which is the length of a full person, is extremely rare and the developers used this fact to create the concept around the game. Finish the Carta Marina by sailing around the ocean and learn about 16th century Scandinavian. They are trying to make it realistic as possible. It’s is certainly an interesting and compelling idea! Check it out!
